6/1/08 Luau @ Cycle World of Daytona
Seth Elliott and Rudy Waller jumped this Saturday at Jim Walkers' Cycle
world of Daytona for their Luau Sales Event By Suzuki.
The set up in Daytona was pretty cool with the guys jumping from the
parking lot over a water gap to an adjacent lot. The gap was normal but the
distance from the ramps to the bottom of the water made for more exciting
show for the people who showed up as well as the riders. The two
performed 4 demos throughout the day along with a live radio
remote, raffles, sales, music, food and games for the kids.
Both riders did their best to entertain the crowd in the 95+ degrees with no
major mishaps besides Seth casing the landing and mangling his frame. He
pulled it off, but as you will see in the pictures he packed er in pretty hard..
Thanks to the people that came out to the event, Jim Stanley and the entire
crew at Cycle World of Daytona for a great time. With everyone coming
away healthy, we have a week to get some riding in around here before we
head off to Joliet Illinois.

6/08/08 Fire Relief Benefit- Palm Bay Fla.
Driving to Wet-N-Wild with the kids this past Friday to enjoy a splash under
the hot Florida sun, Rudy and Seth heard an ad on the radio for a Benefit
Rally being held by the community churches and local businesses to benefit
the victims of the fires that affected Brevard County a couple of weeks ago.
Living in the same county, they decided to try to find a way to donate their
services to help out the event.
After a quick call to the promotions department at Palm Bay Harley Davidson,
they were scheduled jump at the end of the days activities which included
many bands,a car show, bike show, rappers, dunking booths, raffles,
jugglers, vendors, and several different activities for the kids. With all the last
minute set up finished late Friday night, the guys looked forward to being a
part of such a great event.
Saturday turned out to be another beautiful sunny day, but unfortunately
accompanied by gusting winds which made for a sub par FMX demo. The
riders would have normally pulled the plug on the show, but decided since the
people waited around in the heat for the wind to die down, they could atleast
try to do their best under the conditions and go for it. After a couple of warm
up jumps Rudys' bike fowled a plug and Seth Elliott had to finish off the
remainder of the demo solo. With a few tricks thrown in the mix, the crowd was
able to atleast get a small taste of FMX, and the benefit ended up being a
great success. The guys stayed around after the show to give away posters,
sign autographs and spend some time with new as well as old friends that
came out to support the benefit.
Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to come out and to the
people who showed up to help raise money for such a great cause. Hope you
have a nice day...

6/15/08 City of Joliet Car Show & Fathers Day
Festival.
Rudy Waller and Seth Elliott just got in from a 2500 mile road trip to and
from Joliet Illinois this past weekend, where they performed a couple of
demos for the annual Route 66 Car Show and Festival put on by the City
of Joliet..
This was the fourth year that ECX has been a part of the weekend
activities in downtown Joliet , just outside of Chicago. With every year
getting bigger and better, the only concern was the weather which was
not looking good on the 24 hour drive up. Come Saturday morning the
sun was blazing and the people showed up pumped and ready enjoy the
weekend.
The two riders did 3 demos on Saturday but had to cut Sundays event
short when a sudden storm showed up at about three in the afternoon
sending everyone scrambling from the hail and gusting winds. After
about 30 minutes the sun was back out, but the days events were
pretty much done, so the guys were given the green light to hit the road
for the long ride home.
Thanks to Dave and City of Joliet as well as to all of the friends who
have come out year after year to hang out and have a good time.

6/22/08 Europe update from Rudy Waller
What a week... After the 24 hour drive back from Joliet Illinois last
Monday, Seth and I made it home with just enough time to tear my bike
apart and wash clothes before I needed to be at the Orlando airport for
my trip back overseas. In Europe, I would meet up with FMX4ever
owner and good friend Jimmy Verburgh and his crew for a couple of
weeks of shows and some practicing at his compound.
I arrived in Brussels, Belgium pretty exhausted from the drive and long
ass flight. (which was made even longer when we sat for 3 & 1//2 hours
on the runway in Philly, roasting the whole time with no explanation...
Thank You U.S. Airways....) to find that the airline lost my bags and had
no information but to just keep calling back and arrange for delivery.
Unfortunately the crew was just waiting for me to arrive so we could leave
on a 10+ hour drive to Copenhagen, Denmark for a Live Nation
Monsterjam, - so the bags would just have to be put out of mind for a
minute. Soon enough I hit the road with team owner Jimmy Verburgh,
Swedish rider Morgan Carlson, Swedish Sled and X Games Finalist and
FMX rider Daniel Bodin, British rider Chris Birch, and their boy Bart
(team mechanic/pitcrew).
After driving straight through all night to Denmark, we were met by a
rainy afternoon that left the whole stadium covered in mud.(no practice
now, new ramps, new bike, no suspension, and did I mention no rest...?) I
definitely was not looking forward to jumping the next morning.
Saturday morning the LiveNation Crew did an awesome job with the dirt
and somehow got it perfect before pit party even started. With no
practice we went straight to the show and I just followed right in with a
couple of passes and joined in doing the best I could. The show went off
well and I now had the afternoon to rest for the night show.
The evenings show went alot better for me as I now felt rested and a little
more comfortable with the stock suspension and new bike/ramps set up.
With all of us healthy and done with show #1 in Denmark, we packed up
ECX/FMX4ever style, and drove straight through all last night to make it
back to Jimmy's in Zelzate, Belgium, where we will stay for the week
before another Monster Jam in Brussels this coming Saturday. Thanks
for stopping by and I will keep you posted if anything happens this week,
it is 2 a.m. and we are riding in the morning so, hasta luego amigos....Oh,
I almost forgot, my luggage made it today!
